A Fluorine-Containing Cryptand for the Complexation of Anions and the Utility of 19F NMR Spectroscopy for the Determination of H ost-G uest Association

چکیده
The first fluorine-containing cryptand F3-T R EN 4 for the complexation of anions was p re pared in the 3 + 2-condensation reaction of 2-fluoro-l,3-phthalaldehyde 3 with tris(2-aminoethyl)am ine and subsequent reduction w ith N aB H 4. U pon incorporation of anionic guests 4 -6 H C 1 0 4 experiences shifts of its 19F N M R resonances and thus dem onstrates the advantages of studying h o s t-g u e s t association by 19F N M R spectroscopy.
